The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
The latest chapter ended with a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to begin their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.
This warrior group consists of Teor (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
With a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for participants who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are rare.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might look mismatched, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the group knows exactly where to go next after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.
A former ally of Thjazi—whose demise started the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, attacking Thimble, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
The antagonist then cleared his obligations and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, above the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each member has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:
- The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, desires revenge.
- The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a hostile place.
- The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their position as key figures in the powerful family could help the team enter locations they usually can’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and Wicander defied the influential house and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the family.
This means them few options but to journey toward Timmony in search of Casimir.
